for sale is a very clean xxxx Ford Galaxie ( Marauder ) 27 inch long toploader 4 speed transmission. It is the rare 2.32 close ratio unit and still has the VIN # stamped on the bottom showing it came from a Z-code 390 FE 4 barrel powered 66 Galaxie.There is NO Id tag present and it has a newer top cover gasket, the input shaft feels right & tight without slop with no broken or repaired ears, all shifter mounting bolt holes are in great shape, the internals look great with good 2nd and 3rd gear synchros. This unit has the correct C5AR main case with the Galaxie specific C4AR tailhousing, this unit is in great condition and priced fair @ $950 as pictured.
