Very Sweet Mini Donkey Gelding - SALE PENDING in Akron, Ohio For Sale

This little donkey is a 5 or 6 year old gelding. We call him Donkey Hotay (like Don Quijote). A few weeks ago we bought a pair of guard donkeys to keep an eye on our sheep at night because our neighbors had been reporting a lot of coyote activity and livestock loss. And these little donkeys are doing a great job. We haven't seen any coyote tracks in the area since we've added them.
We got a deal on the two donkeys, but we really only need one.
We decided to sell Donkey Hotay because he is the most people-friendly of the two. He loves, loves, loves people and is good with kids. He's patient with them. He was a petting zoo donkey before we got him. He'll follow you all around and nuzzle you, he lets us halter and lead him. We had his hooves trimmed last week and he was great for the farrier. He's pretty good about having his hooves picked and he loves being brushed. Not sure if he has ever been ridden - we haven't tried it. He's not a kicker (we've only seen him kick the other donkey a couple of times when the other donkey was getting on his nerves - he hasn't kicked at sheep or people) and he is not a loud donkey. He has only hee-hawed for us once. So, chances are he won't become that loud donkey that will annoy your neighbors.
We prefer the other donkey because he just sort of does his own thing and hangs out with the sheep. Donkey Hotay is an attention hound and I think that he'd be happy at a home where he'd get more attention. Sometimes he gets a little pushy with the sheep when he thinks they are getting more attention or treats than he is.
We're looking for a good, safe home for Donkey, so don't be surprised if I give you the third degree. :)
